Meet Dorle Verrinder – Dietitian and Lactation Consultant Supporting Your Breastfeeding Journey
Hello, I’m Dorle Verrinder — a registered dietitian and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My goal is to help parents navigate their breastfeeding journey with confidence.
Whether you’re pregnant and preparing to breastfeed, struggling with breastfeeding difficulties, or simply need reassurance, I’m here to walk alongside you — in person or via online consultation.
My Personal Breastfeeding Experience
Like many other mothers, I struggled to breastfeed my first child. I experienced low milk supply, pain, conflicting advice, a lack of skilled support, and postnatal depression. It was incredibly difficult — and it changed my life.
That experience sparked a deep desire in me to advocate for other mothers, empower them to trust their instincts, and provide the kind of skilled, evidence-based support I didn’t have at the time. I now help families find clarity and confidence in breastfeeding and experience the joy of building a bond with their baby through meeting their breastfeeding goals.
My Professional Background
I am a registered dietitian with an MSc in Nutrition from King’s College London. I received advanced training through the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (UK) and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2016.
Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of parents and babies:
- In hospitals
- In their homes
- At my private practice
- Through online consultations worldwide
I am
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of Namibia as a dietitian
- A member of the International Lactation Consultants Association (ILCA)
- A member of the South African Lactation Consultants Association (SALCA)
- A member of the Namibian Dietetics Association (DAN)
